Maureen is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. Maureen practices virtual counselling under the supervision of a Registered Psychotherapist. She completed her Bachelor of Arts (BA) at Carleton University and completed her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology at Yorkville University. She is a certified Clinical Trauma Specialist, has certification in the ASIST Suicide Prevention Training Program, Crisis training and Indigenous Cultural Competency Training. Maureen works with youths and adults which include individuals, couples and families who have mental health challenges. Some of these challenges can include anger and stress management, anxiety, depression, relationships, grief and bereavement, self-harm, suicidal ideation, and trauma.

Maureen is passionate about providing an empathetic, caring, honest, direct, empowering, and non-judgmental space where the needs of youth, individuals and their families are heard and validated. Maureen offers a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach that is collaborative and supportive, helping clients navigate through challenges to build resiliency, change and personal growth.

She uses therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems theory as well as mindfulness-based approaches. She employs a mix of therapeutic approaches to create support for each individual client. She incorporates kindness, acceptance, and humour into sessions.

Osteopathic Manual Therapy recognizes a person as a integrated whole and work to maintain, improve, and restore the normal function of the body structures and systems. This enhances the body's natural ability to heal itself to restore health.
In combination with Osteopathic Manual Therapy additional techniques may include guided breath coaching and guided mindfulness meditation to help the patient connect to there own internal healing, deepen relaxation, increase body awareness and support mobility and flow of circulation in the body's tissues.


Live and Dried Blood Analyst/Nurse/Nutrionist

During a session, a drop of blood is taken from your finger using a lancet. There are two types of samples taken, a Live blood sample and a dried blood Sample. The discussion continues and includes what is seen in the blood, goals of the client, concerns, questions, next steps, etc. Amanda is a large advocate for autonomy, advocacy and empowering the client to take control of their health journey and situation. When discussing next steps and recommendations, Amanda provides many options and directions to choose from including supplementation, nutrition changes, lifestyle changes, stress reductions, grounding strategies, and many more recommendations.

Catherine is an active member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. She graduated with honours at both the Massage Therapy program at Fleming College and the Pre-Health Sciences program at Algonquin College. Catherine believes it is important to approach health from all angles – physical, mental and social. She utilizes her knowledge of the body and how it works to create effective, individualized treatment plans that focus on treating the root cause of pain. With a variety of techniques and tools, she can treat conditions including – but not limited to – chronic pain, joint pathologies, fascial restrictions and repetitive strain injuries. She has a special interest in learning more about what massage therapy can do for mental health disorders such as anxiety and depression. Catherine tries to spend most of her free time exploring nature. She recently moved to Parry Sound to be closer to some of the things she loves; trees and water. When she’s not outside, she’s probably listening to a podcast or practicing yoga. She hopes to continue to expand her education this year with a variety of continuing education courses. Heather graduated from the 3 year program at Sir Sandford Fleming College and has been practicing since 2016. She is Registered and in good standings with the College of Massage Therapist of Ontario. Heather has gained lots of experience through Fleming’s student clinic, and with a few years here in Parry Sound. Working with the general public Heather has gained experience with a variety of injuries and conditions, working with varsity athletes to your everyday senior’s.

Heather really enjoys doing assessments to pin point problem areas to give you the best treatment possible, she’s not afraid to think outside the box to get you back to your everyday life as soon as possible. Heather has an interest in pregnancy massage and has expanded her training so she can work with high risk pregnancies. She has also expanded her training in Dynamic Taping and has had amazing results with clients, from pregnancy to shoulder injuries to low back discomfort. She also enjoy’s working with neck aches and pains, shoulder injuries, leg injuries. She’s comfortable with doing deep tissue work to help reach desired massage goals, but also enjoys giving a relaxation massage, that could incorporate Hot Stone treatment, Aromatherapy or just regular Swedish massage.

She hopes to expand her knowledge with taking a variety of courses within the next few years, to help benefit her clients in the area. She would love to have you come in and assist you with increasing or maintaining your wellness goals.

Amanda is all about finding the holistic balance for your body! She began holistic wellness coaching in 2013 and graduated Soins Infirmier Auxilliaire from College Boreal in 2018. The drive to support clients brought her to the certification of Live and Dried Blood Microscopy and Holistic Nutritionist. She continues working towards her Doctorate in Holistic Medicine.

Amanda has learned through personal experience, family members, and clinical experience that the body will surprise you. When identifying a source, symptom, or trigger, Amanda looks at the body holistically through microscopy, nutrition and medically. This unique combination of educational backgrounds provides a vast area of support, information and education for the clients.

A Live and Dried Blood Analyst has the ability and knowledge to interpret the characteristics of your cells and make recommendations for improvements. This service is used with the intention to distinguish the differences between a healthy and unhealth cell and what would that mean to your body. It is used in a preventative and reactive resource showing you priorities for your health and how to improve.

Jessica graduated from the Canadian College of Osteopathy where she successfully completed her osteopathic training and defended her thesis. Upon graduation, she was also awarded the osteopathic spirit award. Jessica started her manual therapy career as a reiki practitioner, and found she wanted to expand her skill set to help her patients uncover the primary causes of dysfunction with an evidence based approach in her treatments. This expansion evolved into osteopathic manual therapy, breath coaching and mindfulness techniques.

Jessica also recently completed advanced trainings in Pain Reprocessing Therapy to help empower patients who suffer from many chronic conditions including chronic pain and anxiety. Jessica is passionate about offering an integrated approach in her sessions to include both the mind and body to accentuate treatment success. Jessica offers gentle, effective mind-body therapy that will help uncover the root cause of your concern. Carly Wendt graduated from Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy (CCMH) and has been practicing since 2016. Carly is very passionate about the well being of her clients and gets such fulfillment in assisting to better their lives. Offering effective yet relaxing treatments geared solely towards each clients goals and needs. She uses a variety of massage therapy techniques; as well as myofascial release and trigger point therapy and has expanded her education in high risk pregnancy, postpartum, and infant massage . Carly takes interest in constantly learning for herself and for her clients, she plans to further her education through taking additional courses in deep tissue as well as active release techniques.
